I'm considering a belt drive and it doesn't worry me
If someone wants to cut your belt they could just as easy cut your tyres, hydraulic brake lines, saddle etc as well
Don't leave your bike in a vulnerable area if you can help it and you should be OK

Exactly. Lots of things nefarious people can do to sabotage your bike.

I have a belt drive regular bike and I have been considering buying a spare belt to have on hand. Although it probably isn't something you can haul around and switch out on the road. One local shop told me not to bother because they said the belt will have such a long life. But figuring something could go wrong, I was leaning towards buying the extra belt.
