I've sold a lot of BBSHD kits for cargo bikes. Much stouter motor than some cargo bikes offer. However, If you're not handy or willing to learn and buy a few tools, there are GREAT OEM cargo bikes. Stick with the big boys from a shop with a warranty. Or kit if you can do it.

Hard to take the article seriously when the author claims per federal regulations pedal assist is limited to 20 mph.

And what's not true? 750W and 20MPH is a spec in many states. Not everyone wants to run illegal bikes in some states regardless of what Luna pushes.

Pedego stretch, Xtracycle , Yubabikes (I own one left), Radwagon, Surly, Tern GSD.
The reviewer in post 1 lives in rich city NM. Probably the potholes there are repaired in hours, since she came up with 20" tire Tern GSD as the best bike. Wait til she hits a pothole, she'll wish she had bought 26" tires. We have permanent potholes called "gas valve covers" in our roads here, especially the "bike lane". The telephone manholes are usually a 2" drop on one side, too.

Interesting, I stand corrected! Although as you note the author is still technically incorrect to say federal regs limit pedal assist to 20 mph. It only specifies the maximum speed an e-bike can travel under motor power alone. I guess that's why throttle is limited to 20 mph.
