I just joined this forum. I did so to find a solution to a problem I was having, but was able to solve the problem myself. The problem was that I was getting a brake cut-off sensor error on my Raleigh Detour ie. Tech support for Raleigh/IZIP couldn't help me and and neither could the service provider recommended by tech support. The solution I found was to tape a small magnet on top of the sensor and that effectively deactivated it. The brake handle no longer works as a PAS cut-off switch, but at least the error code is gone, the PAS engages immediately without error and the bike goes 20 mph again instead of 15 mph.
I have 3 ebikes, but they are not all for me. I have the Raleigh Detour, a Diamondback Lindau that was very similar to the Raleigh before my son spray painted it army green and a new Blix Cityzen that my girlfriend rides. I'm enjoying educating myself about bikes and biking.

Clever fix, Jack.

Gets frustrating when the ebike ‘technicians’ can’t resolve a problem.
