Don‘t get too excited, just changed the tires to Schwalbe Super Moto X in 27.5 X 2.8

On the 40mm Duroc’s they have a nice rounded profile. Switching to a 50mm Duroc would widen them a tad with a slightly fatter profile but to me it’s not worth the coin. Getting my replacement rear brake today so once that’s installed I’ll be able to take it for a rip. Stay tuned for my impressions!

Cuz Vinny. Hydra is a super Enduro e-bike, are those tires off road able 😳?
It looks some what eclectic with the suspension setup you got.
On the street and hard pack fire roads it will be fine. Eventually I want to swap out the Mattoc Pro for a Fox fork so the components match.

Cuz Vinny, that's the wheel size and tire combo I'd like on my new UC Pro that's coming sometime........
I’d actually like a 50mm wide wheel to flatten out the profile and make the tire a bit wider. However it looks good as is and I simply can’t justify the cost for the minimal improvement.

I like it! As Timpo said, 'supermoto' equivalent. Nothing wrong at all with full suspension on an on-road bike either - every motorcycle non-scooter has it.
I'm running more 'dual-sport' Johnny Watts 2.8" wide on my X2, but I also went through both 40mm on the now-prior wheelset, and i35 on the wheelset I just built. I don't have enough riding time on the new wheelset yet, but the difference in sidewall is noticeable between the i40 and i35. From a purely 'I feel like' perspective, the 2.8" tires look 'right' on the i40, a bit of sidewall bulge in the i35s, but not sure I could see going to an i50 rim for 2.8s. Gonna see if Weather cooperates to get some time in on the new wheelset and see if I change my mind...

Where ya gonna find an orange fork? :)

Fox forks are orange, that’s their signature color.
