hub motor issues

I put this into another forum. I don’t see the vibration as an issue. When I rode the bike 10 miles last evening, the motor cut out, particularly on PAS5 when I was in 8th gear over a distance of several miles. It then cut out several other occasions. I was trying to get the backlight to work since it was dark and this may account for the motor cut out. I received no error message And the battery was at 3 of 4 pips this morning. I am going to go out on another ride this morning and see whether I can recreate things.

The question I have is if the issue might be heat related, or could it be low voltage? If this doesn't happen with a fully charged battery, then it might be safe to assume the issue is heat related.....
