How to install pedal sensor

I just got this pedal assist sensor, and of course it has no instructions, and I can't find any videos online for this exact one.

I assume the piece on the left goes inside the chain ring, and the piece on the right goes on the bottom bracket, with the light facing outward.

Is that all there is to it? Or do I have it wrong?

Thank you!

These sensors can be mounted on the left side or the right (chain) side. but only one side is correct. Sometimes the sensor plate has an L or R on it.

It makes sense though that the ring bracket will go on the non-drive side, because it needs the flamged piece on the BB assembly to hold it to the frame. And when you get the sensor in place. the disk can be mounted one of two ways, and only one works. There is often an arrow on the disk.

In the past, I would install the sensor and disk, and then test to see if it worked before I tightened the pedals. Nowadays, I buy the integrated one piece sensor. Just slip it on the axle. Don't have to remove the BB flange,
