How long can I expect my bike to last?

I have a new Vado 4. I use it for commuting about 20 miles a day and some recreational riding. I rarely deplete the battery below about 30% before recharging.
I expect to need to replace the battery at some point and I’ve been told it will cost about $900.
2 years, 3 years? What can I expect?

What about the motor? How long can I expect it to last? Are the motors replaceable? If so, what does that cost?

I own a Turbo 2015 and I've both batteries surpassing 300 cycles (charging them always fully when they were no less than 30%) and they've lost may be 5-10% of it's original capacity. Specialized batteries are usually made of a very good quality cells, so they won't degrade so easily. If you have bad luck something in the electronics may fail and not necessarily after many years (if they fail, they usually do when they're new). Specialized give warranty about the batteries so you should check your local dealer which are the warranty limits. In my case here in EU they are covered up to 2 years if they haven't surpassed 200 cycles and if their performance goes below 70% of the original capacity.

That’s a nice commute. I have also have a Vado and really like it.

Not sure about the motor. I just simply ride. And oh, I’m really careful shifting. Avoid clunking and cogging to help the chain last longer.

I have a 2017 Vado 3 which I commute every day to work around 24km. The bike is now done 9000km on the original motor and I have two batteries with no issues. I have been told buy my lbs the motor has to be serviced when it reaches 15000 km so a way to go yet. The bike has performed brilliantly with regular servicing (by me) and look forward to many more years to come.
