Honeywell Motor Needed

Hi,

I need a new Honeywell El Capitan E-Bike motor (second time - first time was under warranty....a year ago). Radio silence from those weasels this year...I presume they are history? Anyone happen to know where I can get a motor? Honeywell told me they have no motors in stock...don't know when they will?.....and are trying to sell me the entire back wheel assembly for $651 CDN when they have the entire bike advertised on their website for about $850 CDN now. Appears to be the beginning of their end!

Just a standard 500w hub motor in a wheel. Easy to source one of those.

Grin (ebikes.ca) is in the top tier for hub motors, and it's a Canadian company. Leafbike has many likes with their motors. Or you can search (Bafang) hub motor in wheel.

Wouldn't the OP need a matching controller and display as well?

If so, I think you can get the whole motor+controller+display package from Grin, but I don't know about the wheel.

It would help, but the bottleneck is the motor connector and getting that compatible with what is already on the bike. That might take a bit of soldering.
