Hmmn...do ya think think it's not stolen?

Generally when they spell out the phone number in words it’s because they don’t want someone searching on the phone number. Often because they’re selling something stolen or they’ve scammed someone else in the past.

Exactly. Wish I knew who it really belonged to so they could recover it and nab the culprits.

This was something I practiced when I sold stuff locally, prior to getting a Google number. It wasn't because I was peddling stolen junk. I did it because it makes it tougher for spam "bots" to recognize it as a phone number and possibly send junk texts or calls my way. ⛔ :)

This ad definitely looks like it's for a stolen bike, though.

Saw this last week and had that moment of temptation where I could essentially get a whole set of spare parts for my bike for only $400, before I came to my senses.

Who knows, maybe their house got stolen while they were out on a ride and that's why they don't have the charger :)

The cops have little interest investigating property crimes. This allows theives to run amok and reduce the quality of life for the law abiding.

Scam. I see it every day, a tractor or car for sale at 1/10 the price it should be.

I don't know where you live but the small city I live in is really aggressive about property crime. Serious crimes are really incredibly low. But bicycle theft is really common. A local fellow that develops apps for iPhone built tracking devices and set out bait bikes. BUSTED the biggest bike thief in a decade. MOST thefts are from college neighborhoods and are usually unplanned theft, and the bike is ridden to another part of the city and left on someone's boulevard.
