Hi, i am considering buying a new Trek Rail 5 2020

How reliable is the system? I am used to a Yamaha/Giant system. Does it climb as well?
What are the aspects that need to be improved for that generation 4?

I’m assuming you mean the Bosch PLCX. It’s one of the best in the EMTB market from everything I’ve heard.
I have the same system in my Allant+7 and I had the Bosch software update done to up the torque to 85Nm, activate the light on/off control, and activate the EMTB mode in place of the Sports mode. Works great and does everything I‘ve needed it to in the almost 1200 miles I’ve had it.
I couldn’t tell you if it climbs any better than the other system as I’ve no experience with that.
