Welcome to the forum!
How many miles/kilometers do you have on the bike so far? How is it on the hills?
I did seriously look at getting that model but finally decided on the Explore E+ 1 GTS. I had to have it shipped from Edmonton to here in Montreal because it was the last one with small frame size left in Canada. I expect it to arrive on Tuesday and I’m super stoked! (I needed fenders and a rear rack for commuting.)
Thanks, @Mtl_Biker! I haven't been able to ride it that much (under 30 miles, although I think about riding all the time! Hills don't exist with that bike. I was also considering getting a Trek CrossRip+ (not available in Canada), a Trek SuperCommuter+ 7, and a Specialized Turbo Vado 5.
I've added the Giant Rack-It Tour rack, fenders, and a kickstand. I'm currently using my old axiom trunk bag as you saw in the other thread, but am needing to get a new light and am also considering getting a quadlock mount (and maybe a handlebar extension; there isn't that much room on the bars to mount equipment).
Looks like the E+ 1 GTS comes with a MIK-compatible rack and fenders?
Two more (long) days! Hang in there! Looking forward to seeing the pics of your new bike!
Under 30 miles? Sacrilege! Have you only had the bike for an hour or two? That wonderful bike is wasting away!
Yes, it comes with a MIK rack and fenders and a kickstand and lights. I got my QuadLock bicycle mount last week and I'm very impressed with it. I also got the motorcycle mount with 1" ball joint and that's super solid too. And a couple of the adhesive mounts too, and I've already put one in my car. Once I get the new Giant I'll see if I need a different bicycle mount (the one I got just fits on the handlebars or stem using either rubber o-rings, supplied, or zip ties.)
So did you get your bike? Please post pics of it as well as your dashboard setup. Curious minds want to know!
If the rotors are bent you can probably manually bend them back into shape , at least enough to ride it home and order new ones later. It sucks about the scratches though. Perhaps you should return it and tell them to send you another one?It arrived about 30 minutes ago... box was just about totally destroyed. That's why Canpar didn't deliver yesterday they tell me. They took it back to their warehouse and opened it to assess what damage there is. Luckily it seems to be alright other than for one label on the frame and part of the frame that is badly scratched. I have to finish assembling it and then try to ride it to make sure the discs aren't bent (very hard to check that by eye). It was only after I contacted customer service that (2 hours later) did they even find what had happened. So I'm happy, but bummed at the same time. Once I've finished and can properly evaluate it, I'll report back.
I'm also bummed because the dealer promised me a spare tube and there isn't one. And I've got to ride the bike home tonight about 35km without a spare tube. And by the time I finish work all the stores will be closed. Earliest I'll be able to buy a tube will be tomorrow night (like 100km later). SIGH
Thanks for asking!

OH NO! Sorry to hear about the bike and the scratches! There was a big gash on my bike when I bought it from the store, but it was the only one left and people were wanting to test drive it so I bought it. Still looking forward to looking at your pics though!
