Hello. I bought a 2nd hand Polarna M4 in very good condition but without any manuals and papers. Looks very similar to the Engwe Engine Pro. I need a help to identify the components, especially the controller and the motor. I like to know what I have :) On website spec is reported 'Sinewave Torque Simulation KT Controller' and 'Geared Brushless Rear Hub 750W Motor'. On the stickers the controller is X008-AB012I - 48V18A. It's not a standard controller as it use 5pins connector for throttle+horn and 5 pins for display. I would like also some advice about to change the range of the speed limit (the lowest now is 20mph=32 km/h and max 60 km/h) and if I can disable on demand the throttle. For the EU low should be 25 km/h and no throttle to use the bike on pubblic road, but I use both on pubblic road and off-road.
If I change the display could help? Wich is compatible?

First rule: The total continuous amps to your motor will determine your maximum continuous speed on level ground.

"If" you have an (unlocked) KT controller, there are many more parameters you should be able to adjust with an unlocked KT display. With a KT display you can disable the throttle on demand from the display.
For your current display pic that you posted, are those your only programming options within the display? If "Yes", then you are locked down. An unlocked KT Display will provide access to more programming parameters. It is possibel that your KT Controller/Display is locked down by the bike manufacurer. After looking at your pics, I don't believe your display is a standard, unlocked KT display, and I don't think you have a "standard" KT controller. The controller serial number should start with a "KT".

In any event, a new (unlocked, programmable) KT controller with a serial number starting with "KT" and a KT display starting with the identifier "KT LCD-" will give you a broad range of adjustments. See this KT Display/Controller manual for possible adjustments.
https://download.elecycles.com/manual/Display-Manual/LCD3-display.pdf. Total cost about $110 USD.

FYI, just because you can set a higer speed limit on the display, does not mean your bike will acheive the desired speed. You will need a sufficient amp rating on your controller. If you get a new controller go for at least a 22 max amp KT controller. Your display shows 25 amps, but the max rating on your controller is reads only 18 amps (max). That means you may be only running at a sustained 12-15 amps.

Lastly, your battery has a curent limit that is controlled by the BMS (Battery Management System). No matter the controller or disply, you wil not be able exceed the max amps per the BMS, so i would check that first, lest all be for naught.

Doesn't look like any KT controller I've seen. Same for the display. The QR code on the controller label only has the controller rating, not its maker.

When that screen appears, can you use an arrow button to highlight a particular setting and then change it. That's how many displays work.
