Help Connect Throttle to My Bike

Hello,

I have spent months trying to find a new throttle for my e bike. Its a Prodeco Phantom X2. I can't find an exact replacement so I guess I will have to buy a universal throttle then splice it to my existing wires. Right now my wires coming from my motor total 4. And the go to a 4 pin harness. I am planning on getting this thumb throttle that has 6 wires. How do I know which colored wires to connect to where? And since the throttle has 6 wires how will I know which wires to leave out?
I know how to correctly splice wiring but matching up this throttle to my motor and rewiring it is out of my league of knowledge. See pics

This sort of question goes under part & repairs forum.
You'll have to buy a controller compatible with both your display, the motor, your Pas pickup, and your throttle. I don't see an extra unused throttle connector in your picture. The easiest way to do this is throw your power wheel controller display etc. away and buy an entire package of motor, controller, display, PAS pickup, throttle, brake handles. The kit I bought from an ebay vendor doesn't have compatible motor connector. Then with a new kit you just have to connect the red & black battery wires to the controller, the rest snaps in. You have to screw the power wheel in the frame, and take the sprocket cluster off if the kit doesn't come with one. Usually over a year old the sprocket cluster is rusted on permanently. Just having the brand of controller doesn't help shopping, controllers & displays get software upgrades all the time and it all has to come from the same time frame. Besides the controller I opened up, the vendor didn't even put a part number or brand on the board. Not ISO 9000 compliant. You'll have to abandon any wiring that runs inside the frame, and the red black from the battery to controller must be accessible near the controller so you can cut the end off and put some generic connector. I use dorman .250" insulated flag terminals but other people like andersn connectors or solder XT90 successfully. The XT60 I soldered fell off 30 miles from home so I quit using those. I use a klein crimp tool. Other good crimp terminals are Panduit, T&B, Ideal, 3M. The import crimp terminals on ebay/ali/amazon melt out at 30 amps.
Or you can take your bike to a shop in some city of >10 million that does this sort of upgrade all the time. Since you are in the USA, I suppose you can easily ride your bike there. Could be as near as 1500 miles away. I'm only 165 miles from surburban Chicago. But you might live in W Nebraska or south Mississippi, ebike deserts.
One of the shop repairmen that post here may help you, but they don't answer every question.

@indianajo ProdecoTech Phantom doesn't have a display or PAS, it's a throttle only drive, with a simple 3 LED showing battery level.

@coleSLAW you should be able to get a replacement throttle with the same wires on Ebay. You might get the one you have to work though.
