Just an introduction, 66 yrs old and this looked like fun. Did some looking around and wanted something light and able to handle hills. I found and have ordered the Pace 500 Limited edition. Should get it in about 3 more weeks. Also liked the Ride 1 up 500, LE but did not see it till I had already ordered the Aventon. Been lurking and reading and learning. Look forward to first ride!

I think you’re going to like the Aventon. I have the Pace 500 and it exceeded my expectations. It is one fast and powerful machine. Be very careful and know how to use it, because as soon as you start to peddle, no matter what assist you have in, it will take off. My advice would be while learning about it is to put the PAS to 0 and just peddle it in your gears and play around with the throttle until you feel comfortable and there is nobody in front of you. Thanks, I have read others warning of this. I am thinking that since the default is PAS 1, I am going to try and get in the habit of putting it in PAS 0 as soon as I turn it on. My driveway is uphill and then either way I go it is downhill. I am hoping this Bike will help me get back home. LOL

When you lower the PAS to zero, make sure that you lower your gear selector, that way, when you start pedaling, it is easy. This Aventon is an incredibly easy to pedal without power. It’s just getting used to the bike and when you do, you will enjoy it immensely. Always make sure when you lower or increase the gear selector that you are peddaling. Good luck
