A big thank you to all who take the time to post all the usefull information, expertise and opinions. It was all very helpful in purchasing my first ebike. I am hoping the weather improves soon so I can commute on my 2018 powerfly 5 SUV

Great looking bike! Can’t wait to hear how you like it. Is that a suspension seat post? Did it come with it?

It is a kinnect body float seat post purchased separately. Most of my 16 KM one way commute is on hills. The hills, which it powers through nicely, are the main reason I went with the Powerfly . On the bridge ascent and hills on either side of the Fraser river it maintains 20 to 25 KM fairly easily. A little more speed on the flat sections would be nice but that is only 2 Km. I don't use the first three gears . It is well suited to my commute and the suspension is nice, the brakes are fantastic but if the route was flatter a higher top speed would be better. Super Nova mini pro 25 lights are on order. Hope to post pictures soon. The fenders are SKS Velo 65 for MTB . The rack and bag are Bontrager. I would buy the same setup again for my commute but it is not the best choice for a weekend 70 km road trip. Two bikes is the answer just have to decide on the second one now.

I should have recognized the suspension post. I have a Body Float on the Vado and it made a huge difference. I was thinking of getting a hard tail mountain bike, with a body float. Mostly because of the pot holes, cracks and other busted up infrastructure. And sometimes light trail riding.
Two bikes are better than one. ?
Thanks for your input.
