Hi,
Even though I’m relatively new to the e-bike world I’ve been a serious cyclist for over forty years. The advent of powered assist is perfect for this point in my life. The hills are getting steeper and the legs not as strong?

A little over three months ago I decided to buy a Yamaha Cross Core. I’ve owned Yamaha products from stereo equipment, guitars, synthesizers and motorcycles. How could I go wrong.

Apparently I could...I test rode a Cross Core which had a terrible creaking noise. When the shop couldn’t figure it out they sent me to their other shop to pick up another one. After getting it home and riding the first few miles the creaking began.
Long story short, the folks at the shop figured out that the fork was the culprit. The steerer tube- crown connection was faulty.

Three forks later the problem seemed to be gone. Now it’s back with a vengeance and I can’t believe I’m the only Cross Core owner dealing with this. Any other Cross Core owners dealing with this issue?
