As some of you know, I rent a lot of e-bikes. I get to use some of them when they're new, and then ride them again several months or even years later. Some older bikes feel exactly like the first day, but others feel like they have less power. It might be the battery, or the drive itself. Perhaps it's even my own subjective perception.

So I'm curious: do you have the impression that your e-bike has 'faded' over time? And if it has, did changing a component (such as the battery) restore the bike to its original condition?

I feel like most of bikes feel just as good as new after a good tuneup. I do through tune up soon after winter and few more less detailed ones per season.
Battery on the other hand is a completely different matter.

About 8500 in a st2....no fade ,different tires feel different.
St1 Unknown mileage maybe 2ooo, no real fade, batteries aren't new, 3 years +, originally 4batteries used on 2 bikes for 2 years before trading in 1battery with my old st1,getting the st2, leaving the 3 for wife's bike. it shows that some times..

How much are those new blue batteries?

Thx, 1/2 sarcasm 1/2 not . Hoping prices come down in general. Maybe Stromer might notice it is propably a better deal to get some older purples rebuilt
