Sorry it’s me again, I don’t have a mountain bike but with the gearing on your bike will you be able to get to 25-30mph?.
Also by unrestricting the bike you will lose around 50% battery life.
Have you tried the free unrestricted method first?.

Algood mate which mode is the free unrestricted mode my bike hasnt got an lcd screen to do anything on?

presumably you have a speed sensor on chain stay,

Magnet on crank arm, actually on end of pedals threads araldited into the Allen key hex on the end. The sensor is taken off from the standard position inside the chain stay and repositioned on the outside.
There are lot of video’s on YouTube

Hi,
Just did this modification to my Giant Quick-E+ 2018 and increased speed from 32km/h to 45km/h. So cool, thanks for advice and video. Giant E-Bikes are advertised to go 45km/h or 28Mph, so my question is, is there any risk of damaging the engine or any other component of the bike by going faster? Thanks again, Gary from Cape Town South Africa.
