Thanks to Court and Ravi for making the video review and guiding me towards them !!

Shouts out to FTH for reviving my battery pack (i had opened it by myself earlier and messed it up) and building a custom charger from a LUNA advanced 48v charger .
All 98$ Only !!

Now the BH EASY NITRO can charge at 5Amps custom charge @80/90/100%.

1)After you get the LUNA charger from Luna cycles, DO NOT connected It directly at 5amps to your bat.
My regular charger is a 2amps one.
I did use it at 4/5amps and messed up (Bms reset) the battery, then I opened it and messed it up even further.

2) I had sent to FTH the LUNA advanced charger + Battery and they fixed and connected the cables from original charger to the newer advanced charger.
THANK YOU !! Now it works at 5amps .

The buttons on charger:

1/2/3/4/5- Select at how many Amps to charge it

80/90/100%- % of charge to stop AT.

Note for beginners - a 48volt Charger will show 54.6 when bat. Is fully charged to 100%.

Ps-Rebuilding a battery pack is only 300$ . Compared that to the 5or 600$ charged by the other companies !

Shipping was Ups Hazmat 5-7days, very professional, probably the hardest box that i ever had to open.
The Luna advanced charger is 100$.

Will do.
Actually only the Easy Motion forum is the active one for Bh/Em. The Bh one has 14 thread and the EM one has 413threads.

Basically any battery can be now charged at 4/5amps using this custom made set up.

I don’t know what exactly and how they did it , but i myself have a multimeter, know how to solder and tinker with this stuff quite often.

The BMS was not changed b/c the Fast charger works with the spare battery also .
It did not work before the work was done , when i tried it.

And i’m sure with an even faster charger 6/7amps it can also be done but that will stress out the chemicals too much...

Are you saying to plug in the charger before hooking it up to the battery? I've had no issues with mine so far and I pay no attention to the order in which I hook it up. These are good chargers by the way but limited to 48 vollts. It doesn't have the 52 volt capability or other options that the Grin charger has but mine has worked well for a couple years now.

If my charger is plugged into the wall socket, a cheap fanless charger with an older EM3ev battery, and I plug the charger lead into the battery all good! If my charger isn't plugged into the power socket and I plug the charger into the battery charge port I get a nice spark. With the Satiator there are no issues.

No, before sending it to FTh,
when i first connected the Luna to the Bh bat. , it just made a big click noise about 2-3 seconds after plugging it in .

I had connected It directly at 5amps to the bat.
My regular charger is a 2amps one.

That’s when I connected the cabling myself (first i had to cut the cables from both chargers) And connect the cables from old charger to Luna and + to + , -/- . But that resulted in a failure...

Then in the same “experiment” on that afternoon, i had attempted to use the old charger and would not work. Had to open battery, reset BMS but in the process i broke a small wire that i resoldered badly b/c i had a different AVG wire size. Since then one of the battery was bad.

I sent the Luna+bat. To FTH , they made the cable connection directly to the output and now it all works.
It works even with the other battery , so it was something they did in the new charger that made it all work now.

No issues if i connect the battery first then chArger or any combination. I tried all of them...

No, the 48volt is actually stopping at 54.6volts .
The 52volts stops at 58.4 or 58.6 ?
Both GRin and Luna are the best chargers. They both can control the % of charge and amperage.

And i’m sure there are many great custom made chargers out there but not for sale to the masses...

Thanks Tom, I've never noticed a spark either way but I've never really looked for one, I will from now on. I'm not concerned about a spark but I do care about other damage, maybe to the BMS. This subject comes up occasionally on the Luna forum........

Well, the Luna definitely does a lot more then a 90% of the chargers out there. I do know that Grin has lots more features and it is in a different class by itself.
For a 3kw battery i would use a Grin, for a 5-700wh a Luna.

The Grin Is in a class by itself. I purchased the Luna for the occasional time I have the need to charge more than one battery, like when my kids/grandchildren show up and we decide to go for a ride. Compared to the Grin the Luna charger is a toy but I agree it's better than any charger I have ever received with a bike/battery purchase.

I have a few of the cheap but reliable China chargers as backups. My last cheap seats were $10. Liitokala has been a decent maker. Now $9.21 delivered!

Being able to charge and track ALL of my batteries, 24V, 36V, 48V, 52V and any rate up to 8A as well as ANY percentage in a waterproof case with an actual warranty makes Grin the winner FOR ME!
[/QUO
Oh I didn’t knew that it can charge any battery voltage , and waterproof...that’s pretty good.

But very few people have it , is 300$ ... i may get it also now that i know the “secret”.
