OUCH! $85 to get a shipping box and $140 in labor to replace BMS with customer provided replacement. Took 2 weeks to ship a box and 2 weeks to repair. They have a 2-year warranty on batteries they sell but this kinda sucked.

Anyone else have experiences with them?

i've had a good exp.with them.
For building a new battery pack , they are the most affordable.
But in your case with the BMS , that was way too expensive. Maybe they changed pricing ? It was probably a 90minute job - 85$/hour ?

They did a hard reset on one of my battery (open it up and disc/reco the BMS) for 98$. Now i know how to do it myself , but it can still be very tricky organizing the wires underneath the battery charging port in order for the 6pins to move UP/DOWN.
For battery build , they wanted 300$ to make a 672wh-52cells.

Ebikemarketplace charges 600$ for that !

I bought my battery from fth in April 2021. It was working very well 14 amp hour 48 volt battery. I wanted to buy something at least put together in the USA with decent batteries. I probably should have bought the charger from them but I don't know if it would have made a difference. I plugged it in the garage and I went back out to check it and it wasn't working anymore. I took out the battery and it smells burnt. I think I should be very happy the garage didn't burn down. If I send it back to them to be fixed it's going to cost me $60 just to send it back. I have the box. I will have to pay another $60 to send it back to me most likely. I don't think that is fair to the customer since it's supposed to be warrantied and if it is not working they should pay to send it back to me at least. If you open it it's void. That would be the only way to find out if there are Panasonic cells in it like they say wouldn't it? Does anybody else have a battery and does it have good cells? Or can't you look because it voids it? I don't know what to do. Maybe I should just buy a new battery that's $400 or more now. I know my original battery still works. I have not used the fth battery that much I have three batteries. Maybe I charged it too long I don't think it's supposed to do that even if you charge it too long is it? All I know is I should be happy as hell the garage didn't burn down with my bike and it's not attached to the house. I have seen some fires and it's ridiculous once they start burning it's like jet fuel. It's really scary watching those videos and how often does that happen? I live in Batavia New York my name is Dan the battery I got from Electric boarding company is working fine that was $400 and free shipping. That's probably what I should have done but I wanted something made in the USA with Chinese Parts LOL it's a big deal to me cuz I got one leg and if I can't ride my bike it's like my wheelchair if something happens to my bike I don't have any other Transportation it's a very difficult for me. I wish I could send this battery into that one guy that has the e-bike book and he could look at this battery if nothing works out and tell me if it's really the quality they say once I lost my warranty and it doesn't matter anymore. What I think happened was it got too hot and one of the cells burned cuz I can smell it smells burnt or the BMS turned off or it's the fuse at least there's a fuse in this one and I just emailed her about replacing the fuse cuz that should not void the warranty should it? made in the USA

$60 each way is cheap. If they are shipping legally that is their cost with hazmat certification.

Are they honoring the warranty just charging what you think is is to high shipping?

A charger shouldn’t have been a problem.

How many volts is you battery?
oops 48V

What is the labeled rating of your charger? Is it 54.6v?

By the way having batteries you don’t use and having them fully charged or under charged in storage can kill a good battery.

I have emailed them about the issue. I'm trying to find out if I send it in if there's more hidden fees. Yes it's the correct voltage for the battery charger. But the battery charger is an aftermarket one and it doesn't have the FC on it and I left it charging for a week in the garage which is my fault. Have you ever seen how these batteries can burn? I think it was getting really hot in the BMS burned up. But I don't want to open it to see if Panasonic batteries are in there and void the warranty if I do it myself do I have to reboot the bms? I know it's not the fuse but there might be another fuse inside. I need to learn how to fix these. And to find batteries that's almost impossible now. I think one of the cells burned out but I'm not an expert I just been researching.

I had to use FTH power for a bad battery I got from Bikonit,
took a couple weeks to get the shipping box and at least 2-3 weeks for Bikonit,
to send me a new battery as FTH stated it was NOT repairable.
I was getting VM reading of 331v's, it would not charge up, came like that,
new in the bike.
Everything has been operating perfectly, I have recharge it 6x's, from 54.3v down to 43.3v when I finish riding.

Don’t open a battery unless you know what you’re doing. Creating a short can very easily start a fire. I repair my own batteries and used to build them I have testing platforms, welders and all the tools. As well as a fire proof cabinet. Its not worth the time to me anymore. I buy quality batteries and don’t look back.

Wevdold EM3ev batteries andvfor a short time paul used them for warranty repairs. Very difficult to dealbeith in the end it was cheaper to just replace batteries under warranty. Good builds have very low failure rates.
