I recently bought a Gazelle with a enviolo hub I was watching a YouTube video on the the Shifter channel titled, Canada vs Finland. They were doing a winter ride video and the temperature was 4 degrees below zero. Tom, the host of the channel, mentioned that his enviolo shifter had frozen up and would not shift. At what temperature is is too cold to ride a bike with an enviolo hub? Ed

I have driven in -5°C several times without problems with the Enviolo gear. My bike is always stored dry indoors, but if it is left outside in winter with snow, rain and frost, it is possible that ice will form in the shifter cables and they will thereby freeze.
According to the Enviolo spec, the working temperature range is -20 .. 48 °C.

Not sure what temperature, but it does happen. This was in Chicago, I'm told.
