Not in the U.S. ?Is that a new legal type requirement?
Wow, I'm glad I don't. Not even a place to mount it on mine. ?Here in Vancouver you have to have a the factory plate stating that it is an electric motorcycle or you can replace it with your own. As long as it says it is an electric bike. It is legal requirement here in Canada.
You mean BC , most provinces have no such requirement. Here in Vancouver you have to have the factory plate stating that it is an electric motorcycle or you can replace it with your own. As long as it says it is an electric bike. It is legal requirement here in Canada.
Manufacturer's label | As a condition of initial sale, all commercially manufactured MACs must have a label stating that the vehicle is a “power-assisted bicycle." |
here's a few picts of my label and plate hope this helps...Right from the ICBC website (https://www.icbc.com/vehicle-regist...ow-powered-vehicles/Pages/Electric-bikes.aspx):
My guess is that this is what the OP is referring to? I've never actually seen a manufacturer attach such a label, though. If the OP was referring to something else, I'd love to be educated about it.
