Flipping the stem on an XP3.0 Step Through - any issues?

I am having twitchy ride issues with my new XP 3.0. I am a short round dude (265lbs 5' 6" height) with 28* inseam and 21" reach measured from arm pit to center of my hand where I would grip the handle bar. This puts me a max reach leaning forward when riding. As my elbows are at full extension I believe my peddling hip motion is being transmitted through the handle bars. This causes the bike to wander a lot. Riding on loose gravel is very difficult (subdivision roads). I have made all of the possible seat adjustment that Lectric indicates I can do to the comfort package.

Some have recommended flipping the stem 180, but Lectric customer service is advising not too. They really have no official solution to my issue.

So any solutions you great folks an offer is appreciated.

Replace the current handlebar with a riser bar. Instead of mounting the handles higher, rotate them towards yourself. The stock bar is about 3/4" rise so switch them out with something that has the amount of inches you would like to have closer to you. Most bars are going to be wider which would help with the "twitchy" issue but also make for a longer reach so you will want to increase the rise a bit more to make up for it. I assume you have adjusted the handlebar towards you already?? The clamp size is 25.4 and the bar size is 22.2. I put this set on one of mine from Amazon, worked well:

So I understand, do you mean twist the bar so the ricer section is pointed back, instead of up? The stock handle bars appear to have a 1.5 to 2" rise if I am using the term correctly, so rotating them back towards me and the adjusting everything might work. Yes, rotate the handle bar back, then rotate all the peripherals, grips, brake handles, shifter, switch group.. Because the bike uses a folding stem that is also adjustable, it's not practical or simple to do anything other than adjust the handlebar. Do the easy things first.....
 
We are late 60s and we spun the handlebars around a year ago. Works great. No problems with this method for us. We can sit more upright now.
