Any tips to changing a tire on the back of a Trek Verve+3 , Bosch mid drive. It has disc brakes that I’ve never messed with either. Not to worried about the actual tube repair, more getting the wheel off the back.

I'm thinking there's no difference working on that rear tire than any other bike? Nothing complicated or unusual going on there.

Thank you yes, I would agree. I got the wheel off, there is always a little struggle to get the chain off. I was worried about the disc brakes but that wasn’t a problem. The bike shop told us when we bought our bikes just don’t hit the brake lever with the wheel off, it can pop the discs out. Funny I’ve worked on cars, done brake jobs, put new calipers on, bleed brakes, but these tiny little disc brakes on bikes scare me, mainly because it’s new.

I get it! Now that you've had it off the first time, the second time you'll be a pro. Chain easiest to remove/install if you set the shifter for the smallest/outside gear before starting. Nothing night and day, just a little easier.

Something like these helps with the crap on our bars.

And you can buy a shim to keep the pads from compressing when the wheel is out, but a credit card or folded business card works too if you are concerned about it. Worst case, they can be slowly spread back with a bicycle tire lever or similar narrow tool. Nothing to panic about.

I’m going to get some kind of work stand for my bike. Does it take two people to get an e bike attached, one to lift and another to fasten it in?

I have a little bike work area in a back corner of my garage. I rigged up a bully system for bikes on the ceiling that I bought from Amazon for around $25. I can raise the bike from a few inches to a few feet depending on what I'm doing. For tire removal though I use a set of handlebar jack stands and turn the bike upside down.

I bought a small portable electric winch that can be hung from a hook on one my rafters. Attach two straps to raise and lower the ebikes then attach the bike to the repair stand (more steady to work on bike). My bikes weigh 72 lbs. and this makes it a whole lot easier to lift and lower them.

For a heavy e-bike two people would be nice but not required. It may depend on your repair stand too though.
