Fixed Turbo Control Panel/Right Brake lever positioning!

Court has complained (and I agree) about the integrated right brake handle/shifter/control panel positioning on the 2015 Turbo's and Turbo X and how it impacts either braking hand position or readability of the control panel. Since I use a separate computer for distance, speed, elapsed time, average speed, temperature, and cadence, I only need the built in panel for battery level and ECO level plus the joy stick for control, but I have found the panel VERY difficult to read. Today, I fixed this issue with a bit of help from my LBS.

I reasoned that if I could get an extra Formula C1 right brake handle, I could cut off the brake master cylinder/lever part and use the remaining 2 pieces as handle bar clamps on the existing right brake handle and the control panel/shifter assemble separately. My LBS found a broken Formula C1 lever off of some other Specialized bike in his junk drawer. He cut the lever part off and gave me the two pieces with extra screws. Presto-chango! I was able to mount the brake handle much higher so that I can reach the brakes with my thumbs when using my bar-end hand positions. I rolled the control panel forward so that reaching the joystick and reading the battery % remaining and the ECO level is much clearer. The shifter can still be adjusted a few degrees forward or back from its mount on the control panel housing.

All is great!

One last daylight picture that gives a great idea of how this worked out. Notice I can have my hand in either the side position or front position of the bar end grip and still reach the brake lever with my thumb.
