Must admit I’ve thought the Walk button on the Bosch Purion of my Allant+7 would never be needed. I was wrong.
I rented a cottage in Wisconsin recently that sat high above the street with no driveway up to the house. Wanting to keep the bike locked up on the deck at night, I did ride the bike up the steep front yard (in EMTB mode) to the steps. There were at least 15 steps to reach the deck and so I promptly turned it on, pressed and held the + button, added a bit of lift to the front, and that 50+ lb bike walked right up those steps! I used that function every day I was there and really have a new found appreciation for it.
