Fastest Way to Open a Bike Lock...

Replying to an old post in this thread - I recently bought some of those GPS stickers on Amazon. They had two different types.

In addition to an ABUS Granite Plus (or whatever the very expensive folding lock is called), I also installed a cafe' lock. That way, I can secure the frame and front wheel with the folding lock, and the rear wheel with the cafe' lock. In addition, I installed a rear light that is also a loud horn and a motion sensor alarm (also from Amazon). When riding, I set the light to flashing, to get attention. When parked and locked, I enable the motion sensor. If you move the bike, you get a loud warning beep. Keep it up and it alarms.

The combination of an alarm to draw attention, and two different locks with decent security should make other bikes a better target. And, since I only ride for fun and exercise, I rarely need to leave the bike out of my sight, which makes the most difference.

A while ago it was mentioned about the rack your bike is attached to. It it is build like a folding beach chair it dose not matter how expensive the lock is. It is true that the harder the steel the more brittle. That is why you should never use a file to open a paint can. It will snap. I make my electric bikes look like regular bikes. I make them unique so they cannot easily be resold. I have easily removable batteries that I can take off a bike and with me. But the best thing is to keep an eye on it. I like the dead pet chip idea. Some place like inside the down tube. You could even hide two. I will bet that big data does not routinely track dead pet chips.

My "Tesla" escooter already comes with its own app , Bluetooth motor lock and loud sirens alert if someone attempts to move it. Also it sends notifications right away. It's 45lb, so not very easy to carry and walk with it. Also i added and Apple airtag deep inside the electronics.

All ebikes should come standard with this motor lock/app.
Made by NIU , a very good motorcycle/scooter company from PRC.
