Evening all,
I have an 'Elife 300'...36v 10 Ah ... which has a 790 controller at the handle bar. Was working fine ...now the battery does not power motor?
All lights etc. seem to be working fine.
Feels like it fails to kick in at pedal ?

The pickup for the cadence sensor cannot be farther away from the magnet wheel than the thickness of a nickel. Push it closer by using your thumb.

Since it’s not torque sensing and has 9 levels of assist it must have a pas sensor. These days there are improved pas sensors that are much more discrete as well. Chain ring versions too.

I’ve had situations where I couldn’t get closer so I bought a bunch of neodymium discs.
those powerful magnets dont fall off IME.
This is very funny. A guy purchased a bike from a friend in Santa Cruz. It was bucking like a wild horse. I found that I could make it go on PAS by moving the pedals back and forth. Someone had done a sophisticated prank and reversed the polarity of almost half of the magnets. With April first quickly approaching, this is something to keep in mind.
