Anybody experienced tail lite malfunction on Explorer +2? Mine quit working due to a faulty connection at bottom of rear fender. Shop has had difficulty obtaining repair parts from Giant. Apparently requires a completely new wiring harness as the connection at bottom front of rear fender is compromised and exposed to the elements. Shop reports difficulty getting any parts from giant during covid.

Interestingly enough, today I had issues with the rear light on my 2020 Explore E+2, but in my case one of the wires pulled loose from the bottom of the light. I must have dislodged it when mounting panniers on the rack. The whole setup looks fragile, and quite Mickey Mouse given the bike is advertised as an adventure bike. Luckily one of the shop guys at my LBS managed to reattach the miscreant wire.

Thanks, well after 5000 kms, I consider it my "zen" bike. It has given me hours of pure pleasure with little or no probs. For a new product, I was a bit surprised, but Giant must have done their due diligence prior to putting on the market. I was tempted prior to purchase to buy one of the many "no name" products for about half the money, but, as I suspected I see many of them arriving at a marque bike shop with broken whatever. Many of them are turned away because they are not a known product. Then they are burdened with shipping logistics to get the thing back to seller. All in all I am very happy with my choice of Giant.

After seeing this I went out and looked at my 2021 Exploer E+ 2 GTS. I think I'll be adding some electrical tape just to give those leads some extra protection.

Almost 3 years have passed since acquiring Explorer E+2. Still no resolve for tail lite. Dealer says design flaw in wiring of lite and it prevails even on the new models. Moisture steadily erodes contacts in the rear inside fender. Bummer on an otherwise almost flawless product. It is a large very visible rear tail lite that sits on the bike and does not work. I have an auxiliary add on that serves the purpose but still annoying after paying 4 grand for a bike.
