Suddenly getting error code 5 on a brand new (90 miles) BH Easymotion Jumper Pro. As soon as i try to engage the pedal or throttle the error code 5 appears on the display. I've disconnected and reconnected every connection and the display all seems good.

Bad news first:

Error 5 means you'll have to take it to the dealer and have them check the hall sensor in the motor. It may simply be that motor cable is not properly connected. It's also possible that the hall sensor is malfunctioning.

Good news:
Those bikes comes with 5 year warranty on the motor. So, absolutely nothing to worry about.

Here is part of the email I sent the Dealer.

"Today after about a mile I started getting error code 05 on a brand new (90 miles) BH Easymotion Jumper Pro. As soon as i try to engage the pedal or throttle the error code 05 appears on the display. I've disconnected and reconnected every connection and the display seems good.

When I engage the throttle or pedal assist the i can feel the motor want to start but instantly stops and the display shows 05. If i wiggle or jiggle every other component or connection it doesn't affect the display. If i spin the tire backwards fast a little it will cause the error, and the only thing that resets the display is giving the back tire a little whack."

So it definitely seems like something in the motor

From the list of error codes, number 05 states:

"Error 05 - Motor sensor error - Check that the connection between the motor and the controller is correct. If the sensor inside the motor is broken, replace the sensor or motor with a new one. Check that the connection between the motor cable and the controller is correct. If not, replace the controller."
