Engwe Canada

Hello all, I am new to the ebike forum but I am excited to get started!!

I recently purchased a 2020 Engwe EP-2. It is a foldable bike with 20” wheels, a 500w motor and a 48v 12.5ah battery. It’s been reliable, powerful and really fun to ride. It’s seems the shop that sold these is no longer around and I cannot find a local source for parts. I have checked with Engwe (Chinese company) and they don’t seem to ship to Canada. Amazon Canada use to sell their products but no longer does.
I would like to purchase a new battery, would anyone know a Toronto shop that sells this battery or possibly an online store that has availability?
Thanks in advance for any advice or direction. Cheers.

I would at least post a photo of the battery,it may be generic and easy to spot for some of the experts here

Appreciate your direction Clueless, I am definetly a newbe to this forum thing. Pictures posted.

Hello AD123, After seeing your post I happened to be on wayfair.ca, and they are selling ebikes called Avobird Folding Electric Bicycle. But the pictures show the bike clearly branded as ENGWE with a battery that looks like yours. I doubt if Wayfair sells the battery separately, but it might be worth checking into. Good luck.

Hi SteveE, Thank you so much for your reply. I have taken an initial look and the bikes look identical. I will follow up to see if they can source the battery. Appreciate your help!!

Thank you ki11a. I was thinking the same thing but when you go to a specific brand supplier their website states that their battery only works on their product. So I was wondering if the use the same profile but wire it uniquely. I am pretty sure they are all generic and will try one right away. Cheers.
