Well, normally I would think this is a great idea. However, the professional thieves are my worry.
They will relieve you of your bike, tossing it in a van after defeating all your locks not knowing it can't be ridden later. Your bike is still gone. I doubt they'll track you down to give it back to you after they find that out. CN

Many if not most bikes that can't be quickly flipped, shipped, or fenced are stripped for parts anyway. It's easy to walk in to a pawn shop or reseller and sell a bunch of components that don't have serial numbers, or sell them on the local FB Marketplace.
