A friend has plenty of money and rides every day in the N. Cal Winter and Spring. He now puts a bright yellow with reflective stripes vest over his regular jacket. One of these would be so much more comfortable and offer better protection. I just emailed his wife with the Advance X-Extreem jacket as a Christmas gift idea. I also noticed that some have a waterproof hood tucked into a neck pocket that is meant to fit over a chainsaw helmet. That is perfect for a bike. In the West we will have a very wet Winter this year with El Nino. It is also nice that you can also use it as a vest. That makes it do double duty.
