Ebike bikeshare comes to DC

The Post has an article about Jump and the other three non-ebike Pedal bicycle dockless bikeshare companies that are part of a trial running from now until April 2018. It’s important to not attempt to lock up the bikes outside the geofenced trial area that excludes federal and park service land, Virginia or Maryland.

Seems I read that the dockless concept has already failed in China. People dump them in places where they sit for months unused, and the city trash has to pick them up. In DC though, my first thought would be theft.

I believe I saw two lime bikes this morning left near a tree along the Mount Vernon trail heading towards DC. I can't imagine grass spots along the trail are designated areas.
