Being in the boonies of Iceland - anywhere outside of Reykjavik - means you are out of the mainstream - A WONDERFUL place to be. So just thought I'd ask.

We had mostly superb but unusual weather - full sunshine. Walked some waterfall trails, glacier trail, saw rainbows and THE FREAK AWESOME NORTHERN LIGHTS.

Missed ashfall and impenetrable smoke from nearby forest fires while NOT in Seattle.

Don't miss Fagradalsfjall! Also lots of ash and smoke but with less bad feelings than in the woods...
I think it felt asleep again after it's re-awakening in march 2021. But woke up again 5-6 weeks ago.

Yes, I've seen the live cam five minutes ago, not that impressive anymore... :-(
I think it may become interesting again at night, when you see the rest of the lava glow.
