As a crippled geezer I have switched from living 20mi out of town to apartment living... and from cars/trucks to an E-trike. I find the Lectric Trike XP 750 the perfect way to add freedom to up grade the word mobility. I now only need Uber if it is pizzing down rain. The iPhone even provides me with the best 'bicycle routes - tho' I am getting braver.

BUT: I want liability/accident insurance. I have used State Farm for property and vehicle insurance for many years, but my locals seem confused about e-bikes. Have you or someone you know come up with a good solution? Thanks. Jim/Salisbury MD

I don't have State Farm, I have Traveler's. I inquired about e-bike insurance, and they had no product. For liability, I have an umbrella policy.

AAA covers ebikes in certain states for roadside assistance. 35 states right now. Just get the bike to the nearest street and they will lift it up and take you home or to a shop. No extra cost. Part of your auto service.

Do you know if California is one of the states?

No, just call them as more states are adding it. AAA is independent with different policies in some states. The bike policy comes with all levels of the service for no extra charge. Good deal! I have the 100 mile plan. That should be plenty. $112.00 a year. Well worth it for car or ebike. 4 tows a year.
