Do any new garmins show extender battery level?

Wondering if the 540 or 840 have better e-bike integration.

I have the 1040 Solar and not had the RE Plugged in to often. Just tried it and shows main battery only. I have not done the latest Garmin firmware for when the 840 came out, so will report back later....

I can't comment on the 540 or 840, but I use the 1030 plus with the Garmin IQ app "Ebike Field". For my Creo this shows both the power assist mode as well as the total battery level for the main battery and RE battery combined - as a percentage. As I always use both batteries being 'drained' simultaneously, this works very well for me. I haven't yet tried using RE battery draining first and seeing what the 'Ebike Field' display shows.

Thanks that’s what I do too. Although actually that field shows main battery only…it is just that the RE level is close when you drain together. I have run garmin side by side with wahoo to confirm this. Not a big deal but sometimes the RE and main differ by as much as 6% or so even when draining together. Developer of the ebike field said it is very difficult for him to capture the actual RE battery level.
