Has anyone had trouble removing the rear wheel of the Core-5? I removed the nuts and washers from both sides of the axle, but I can't dislodge the wheel from the bike frame. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions?
Does it seem to be pinching from the sides, or in the slots? If tight on the sides, pull out on the stays and have someone pull out the wheel. Tight in the slots, use a rubber mallet to lightly tap on the axle.
Flip the bike upside down. First make sure the display or other sensitive bits are turned so they don't get mashed. Shift into the highest gear, the smallest cog that is furthest from the center line of the bike. Pull the chain tensioner back. The chain tensioner is the derailleur's toothed pully that is furthest from the center of the wheel. Give the wheel a yank. Just make sure that the bolts are loose and the anti-turn washers have been pried out. I will bet that is it! The anti-turn washers are jammed in the dropouts! Look at this picture. Use a screwdriver or similar to get these out of the slots.
