I have been slowly updating the parts on "Old Blu", my Montague standard bike, she got new shoes/tubes all the way around, Schwalbe Pickup's, got a suspension seat post, new brakes front and back, lubed all the cables for the brakes, shifters etc.
Added the new front suspension fork, 4" travel, new front solid axle,
with new bearings/repacked/lube job on the steering stem bearings, dual mirrors, adjusted the brakes, handle bar height raised 3+", added a Cloud 9 saddle.
Tuned the spokes to make the rims run true, after replacing a couple of broken ones, jumped on her for a quick spin around the hay fields, could feel a slight drag, one of the brake shoes not quite centered on the rim, rubbing on the tire, a little bit.
Got off to adjust the brake shoe, dropped down the kick stand, AND
she just flopped over on her side, the kickstand is a couple 3" too SHORT, she won't stand up, ()*(&^$%#$^&&**(, I have to lengthen the kickstand by turning a longer foot to fit the 1/2" kickstand rod, I guess. I didn't figure on the new susp fork being longer than the OEM one.
And I thought I was thru and could get some more pedal time before the next storm hit, in a couple days.
Back to the drawing board.......
