Is there a way to tell the motor wattage on an escooter/ebike? It is a Gio that I am using, but I am not sure of the specific model or year. This is used and did not come with any manual.

Good questions :
1) The controller is really hard to get at. I am attempting to unscrew the bolts to get it out.
2) Batteries are 12V 20Ah

There are 4 batteries - 4 x 12 = 48 --- in series.
The person I bought it from used to drive it back and forth to work each day.

Yep and i managed to get to the controller too

a lithium battery will offer better performance and mileage.

Yes I've been looking into those but they are not cost effective for me presently. I also don't know if this "used" bike/scooter will last more than a year and it's a DIY project so I'm just feeling my way thru as economically as I can right now.
