German brand Cyklær is a partnership of Storck Bicycle, Porsche Digital, Fazua & Greyp. Two models initially, a gravel ebike and a city bike, costing around $8,500, 4 carbon frame sizes, drop or flat bar options, uses the Fazua Evation Ride 50 hub motor (55nm, 250w) and SRAM 12-speed gearing with electronic shifting. Other features include front and rear cameras with a digital rear-view mirror function using a phone app, phone charging induction pad, gps location, navigation, video recording. and integration with Apple Health and Music apps. Busch & Muller lighting appears only to be fitted to the city model for some reason.

But don't they think gravel bike owners ride in the dark? Also isn't there some StVZO regulation that requires lighting on pedelecs for use on roads in Germany? I'm thinking of this one http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/stvzo_2012/__67.html

The owners would certainly use external lighting, same as my traditional gravel cycling buddies do.

@Dewey: Since Jodi hasn't chimed in, I translated the StVZO with Google Translate and found this sentence very clearly explaining the requirement:
"Headlights, lights and their energy source may be removable, but must be attached during twilight, in the dark or when visibility conditions otherwise require it."

It would be strange if road bikes or MTBs were required to be equipped with permanent lighting.

You're dead on.
External lighting has been allowed in Germany for several years on all types of bikes and must only be attached to the bike during twilight, darkness, and f.e. foggy or heavy rain conditions.
You're obliged to have a white reflector to the front and a red reflector to the back which was supplied with my Vado but I seem to be the only Vado rider who has mounted them. You could be fined 20€ for wrong lighting on your bike.
