Cross post: question about cassette on Ripcurrent S

I posted this in another forum already, but this is probably a better place to as this:

I have an RCS on order, and I’d like to increase the top speed I can ride at by replacing the cassette (and deulailler if needed) to something like 9-32. Is there a cassette that I’ll work on the stock RCS hub with existing deurailler?

Considering that 9-32t 9 speed hardly exists, No. (3T and Capreo notwithstanding).

Doubt you would even ever pedal in a 9t.

The 3t and Capreo were the only9-32s I found as well. It doesn't have to be a 9-32 9 speed. As long as there' a low gear that lets me assist the bike on steeper hills and an adequate midrange of gears, I just want a 9 or 10 tooth high gear to let me help assist the motor to get the bike going as fast as possible on flats and declines. It could be 7 speed cassette, or a 9 or 10 or 11 or whatever cassette. I'm fine with swapping out a different deuraiiler to accommodate a larger casssette if necessary. I just want to know if it will fit on the hub that comes on the RCS, or if the hub or frame, etc. somehow limits what brand/ size of cassette and deraileur I can use.

Most hub spindles will not accomodate anything smaller than an 11T rear cog. If you want to gear up, go with the 56T chainring.

A 56T chainring was my first thought, but looking at Court's review of the RCS it doesn't look like there's room to accommodate one. As it is the existing chain guards rub on the cables near the bottom bracket. I wouldn't think a larger, open sprocket that close to those cables would be a wise move.

Juiced used to sell a 56T chain ring. Not sure if they still do. At least one member of this forum has installed it. So it's definitely an option.
