Does the gain use any sensors or electronics in the crank, spindle or bottom bracket. Want to fit a new chainset and want to know what to be wary of. Thanks in advance

None at all. I've just changed over to elliptical rings, definitely a smoother action. Took 50 or so miles to get used to the feel.

Thanks for swift reply. I do like oval rings. Got them on the MTB. This is just an 11s conversion though.
