If The Sûreté du Québec pull you over, you need to be able to show them from the controller screen that you are locked at 32km/hr.
If the Ebike comes from the factory set at 45Kmh you can reduce it and make it legal by changing the locked limit via the controller screen, but your going to need the password.
The biggest issue is if you have a throttle and they don't see you peddling going faster than normal Ebikes.
Somebody in BC got charged but he was driving a motorcycle with peddles on the sidewalk and not even peddling........so being stupid.
If it looks like a normal Ebike and you are peddling you should be fine.
