You know ebikes have arrived when Consumer Reports tests them. It was a very basic article but they did test 5 bikes ranging from $600 Nakto to the Raleigh Retrograde Royale 2.0 at $2600. They did not rank them as best or worst but did evaluate gualities of performance and ride and power with their usual scale of excellent to poor. The Rad Runner and the Raleigh were evaluated along with the Jetson, Nakto and the Electra Townie Go 7D. Except for the Raleigh, all were hub drive. Readers of these forums will find the article very basic but I think this may portend an explosion in the already burgeoning growth of ebikes. Consumers has a way of validating products and concepts.
