Hi gang,

I just bought a used 52Vx15Ah Juiced battery as a spare. Does anyone know the cell configuration of these? I think this was the generation of battery that just preceded the 2022 introduction of the “G2” battery. I have the specs for the G2 (52Vx19.2Ah) battery, which has 84 cells (14 serial x 6 parallel), but I don’t have the 15Ah configuration.

By the way, the reason I care is that I want to know if I can trust my charge percentage table… namely, is it 14S5P or is it something else?

I also want to know if it’s the same actual cells that are used in the G2 battery in case I need to do some repair/replace someday.

The number of cells in parallel won;t matter. The charge percentage vs voltage is the same. A 52V20AH and 52V5AH will both be 100% at 58.6V and near 50% at 52V. Yes, if the cells are not the same type, there are some small changes, but not important here.

In your case, Juiced is using 3.2Ah cells for the 19.2AH battery. If they used the same cells, a 14x5 array would give 16AH, so they are not the same cells, They could have done a 14x5 with 3.0Ah cells or even a 14x3 with 21700 5Ah cells, You would have to look inside, but I don't think you need to do so,

In my opinion, you won't ever need to replace cells in a quality battery. They will all wear uniformly, If you have a crap battery where a cell fails after a year, it's futile to replace, because another one will go bad soon afterwards. I like to think Juiced made good batteries.
