The only DISLIKE I have so far is with the charging port on the top tube, it looks like it prvides a perfect seal but let's say you ride this e bike for many hours in the rain

I got a reply From Coleen earlier (I’m looking to get the Modern DB) that solved my query:

“The charging port is working even if there is water inside, of course we have a cover with a joint to make it waterproof. There is electronic protection if you use another charger, the battery will not charge and nothing happens. We have an electronic loop inside our charger. “

The price actually is 8000€ but it’s the stupidly greedy 20% European tax that brings it to 10k €.

That Battery placement isn't the best since gravity is working against you, it will make it easier to drop the battery by accident during "montage/demontage". Also it is not 42lbs, the stated weights are 46-54lbs.

For people with common sense and awareness that this is a very special ebike there won’t be any drops ! For clumsy folks yes . An ebike is not like a reg. bicycle , we have to really read that manual and study EBR forum.

With carbon crank, SQL carbon saddle, Carbon seat post, Lighter pedals it can get to19kg from 21kg. 19kilos is 41.88lb.

The wait time is 3 months upon paying a 50% deposit . I’m undecided between M1 Spitzing EVO R and Coleen Modern DB.

Roughly at the end of the spec sheet .
“POIDS” = Weight

I had another spec sheet for the 250watts version. That one is from 21kg(46lb).

The ebike with 750watts motor (1500watts peak but software restricted) is 24.5kg which Is 54lb. Still it’s a very good weight , with carbon parts it can be dropped to 45-47lb. That French old school made seat is probably 2 kg (6lb) !!
Then add all carbon crank/seatpost, carbon dura ace pedals it will be light .

Some serious work went into the carbon frame from some of the people @ Look cycles !! Look cycles needs no further introduction , if you don’t know them, this thread is not for you. Go buy a spaciaized. ,traek or whatever frame Bosch puts their motors on...
