Carbon forks?

Quite a few people have upgraded the XP Lite with a suspension fork. But has anyone gone to carbon?

Seems it would give slightly better shock absorption than the stock shocks, but also lighten up the bike quite a bit.

What's the axle width of the XP Lite? Is it 135mm like many fat tire bikes or 100mm like regular width tires? These forks are 117mm.

@harryS Thanks. I just measured and it looks like they're 100mm

And @fooferdoggie the bike started out so heavy, but it keeps getting lighter as I take off a pound here, a 1/2 pound there, and a couple of ounces there again and again. A couple of pound difference may not make a huge difference even when climbing hills, but it does make a big difference every time you have to pick up and carry the bike.

Carbon doesn't necessarily mean better compliance. It could be stiffer than OEM - all depends on the design. And if you ding it, you'll always be wondering if you damaged it.
