Can't Get My New Urtopia Bike to Work

I bought a Urtopia carbon joy about 2 months ago for my wife and it has been a great bike, no issues at all. My LBS picked up the Urtopia line and carries them in stock, he's had good success with them and selling them fairly well and being problem free. The one we have has 20" wheels and is designed like a general utility bike (universal e-bike). I agree it's not a well known brand, but it has quality components all throughout and has performed very well for us.

Hi everyone, posting question for Urtopia Carbon Joy owners. I had bought 2 Carbon Joy last week and had to return them because I was not able to register them with daughters phones. The shop that sold me the bikes had suggested that maybe Carbon Joy does not comes with GPS tracking/Anti-Theft features which is a setback as the bikes are intended for college campus use. I emailed Urtopia support and have not heard back from them. I am hoping that perhaps a Carbon Joy owner here can let me know. Thanks!

Were they already registered to another phone? Check the app. Urtopia bikes can only be paired to one phone. Maybe the shop phone is paired? I always unpair my phone to any bike I service before it gets tagged as complete.

Thanks all, I got my answer from Urtopia support and the answer is Joy Carbon is stand alone with no pairings to phones/apps and no esim for internet for the purpose of gps tracking. On the side note my local bike shop is dropping Urtopia line because Target is now a dealer for Urtopia. Also LBS says service support from Urtopia is iffy and I should invest in different ebike, unless I want to deal with Urtopia directly. I also purchased a brand new carbon 1 pro and I love it except it won’t charge so it’s black screen for now. At least I got to ride it for 4 days.

Well, ya, that sounds like a bike in the more "advanced" class of bikes with the electronics you described. Sometimes they have videos on their website or YouTube to show you exactly how to navigate the intricate details since it's not just a "plug and play" cheaper bike.
I would expect that all Urtopia bikes sold in Utopia should be world class machines. (Once you figure it out. He-He!)

That can be good as Target often runs good sales and has a very generous 90 day return policy.

Bad if all the local shops drop affiliations with the brand.
