That's bizarre. As far as I know, Specialized eMTBs only ever used Brose motors, but that's a Bafang. My best guess would be that it's a counterfeit

I think even the Bafang is a copy! Lol

Interesting to find that Specialized made hub-motor bikes as recently as 2016.

Specialized introduced hub-drive Turbo e-bikes as early as in 2012. The Levo was first released in 2015. Specialized needed an urban Class 3 e-bike, and Vado was first released only in 2017. Interestingly, MY2016 Turbo S had a 500 W motor and 691 Wh battery!

I believe Specialized spurred Brose to get into the ebike motor market. The first Levo had a "proprietary" version of the original Brose T when it came out in 2015. As Giant did with their "SyncDrive" version of the Yamaha motor, Specialized tweaked the software to make it their own...

That looks kinda like an iZip, can't remember the model but they made a hardtail like that. Given the Specialized Romin saddle which is what I have on my road racing bike, looks like they thought they could pull a fast one putting Specialized tires, saddle, and decals on this turd
